1) What made you choose Kingston Barnes as an employer?
James is an excellent mentor and manager whose support enables his employees to develop in an unrestricted manner allowing you to manage your own workload in an adult and trusted environment.
2) Why did you choose a career in recruitment? Where does your passion/drive come from?
Working within recruitment provides you with a career not just a job. For me my key driver is the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of many people. We spend most of our lives working meaning it is vital you enjoy what you do. By finding this happiness for people you are having a real positive impact on their lives which is very fulfilling.
3) What interests you about construction?
Construction is one of the biggest industries to work in, both in the UK and worldwide. I believe there is a career for everyone within the sector whether you are a mathematician, have a love of ICT, are practical or have exceptional organisational skills. Moreover new and innovative designs for buildings make it an exciting career choice.
4) What is your favourite construction project?
My favourite recent construction project is that of ‘The Shard’ in London. Pioneering engineering methods were used in its construction such as ‘top-down’ construction whereby the foundations were dug while the core was being built up, a first for the UK.
5) When you are not recruiting what do you do?
Being a Mum to a lively 3 year old I enjoy spending time with her in the great outdoors. I am also a very creative person who is often undertaking home decoration projects!
